Motzfeldt 2026: adding practical detail around the geology

The 2026 Motzfeldt work programme includes a desktop engineering gap analysis focused on the practical inputs needed for future study work.

The review will look at:

• site layout and possible working areas
• access routes around Motzfeldt Sø and priority target areas
• infrastructure and support requirements for field activity
• logistics for equipment, samples and potential bulk-sampling material
• environmental baseline inputs needed alongside technical studies
• engineering questions that need to be understood before more detailed project planning

This work sits alongside the planned remote sensing, field targeting, Aries bulk sampling and ongoing mineralogical/metallurgical studies.

Motzfeldt is a multi-commodity critical minerals system, with rare earth elements, niobium, tantalum and zirconium hosted in alkaline silicate rocks. That makes the next phase more than a geological exercise. The key is to connect resource data, mineralogy, logistics and practical field assumptions into a clear technical work plan.
