Motzfeldt 2026: Advancing Technical Readiness

Motzfeldt’s 2026 programme brings together the main technical workstreams needed to advance the project in a structured way: resource review, engineering assessment, environmental baseline studies, remote sensing, hyperspectral imaging and processing testwork.

At Aries, SRK is reviewing the existing Mineral Resource Estimate and historic project data, with the aim of defining the drilling and technical work needed to support future resource advancement. Aries remains central to the programme, with planned bulk sampling intended to provide material for the next phase of processing work.

At Merino, TheiaX will apply advanced hyperspectral imaging to help map rare earth-bearing mineral signatures across cliff-face structures. Previous work has shown enrichment in rare earth elements, niobium and zirconium at surface, and the 2026 work is designed to improve understanding of structural continuity and support future drill-target assessment.

Alongside the exploration work, NIRAS is reviewing engineering, access and infrastructure options, while BioApp will undertake environmental baseline studies across key project areas. These are practical steps in building the technical, environmental and development framework needed to support future licence progression.

Taken together, the programme is designed to de-risk future development decisions and support a structured technical pathway towards exploitation licence readiness.
