Clogau: Technical Review and Processing Update

At Clogau-St David’s, Arkadian is taking a measured technical approach to the next phase of underground work and pilot processing.

Processing has now recommenced following a major service of the impact crusher, including the replacement of worn parts. Underground winch repairs and overhaul work also remain ongoing.

On Level 5, development has been paused while the geology team carries out detailed sampling and mineralogical review. The focus is on understanding the mineralisation encountered in the Lower Llechfraith development area, as well as reviewing other parts of the mine, before determining the next phase of underground work.

This step is intended to strengthen the technical basis for future decisions. At Clogau, where gold occurrence can be highly variable, sampling, mineralogy and processing behaviour are central to understanding which material should be prioritised and how future work should be planned.

The wider Clogau programme is also moving forward. Bat surveys have been completed to provide updated environmental data for future exploration of other in-mine targets, a permitted development notification has been submitted for the next phase of trenching at the historic waste tip, and a dedicated Site Operations Manager has been appointed to support ongoing site activities.

Together, these workstreams are designed to improve technical understanding, support better sequencing of underground activity and ensure that future decisions are guided by geology, operational readiness and environmental requirements.
