Greenland Government Approval Received
Greenland Government approval marks an important step for Alba at Motzfeldt.
Today’s RNS confirmed that the Greenland Government has approved Alba’s acquisition of a controlling 51% interest in the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project. The licence has also formally progressed into its second five-year term, covering 2026 to 2030.
Why it matters: this was the final condition required before Alba can proceed to complete the acquisition of a further 25.5% interest in the Project.
The approval and move to 51% ownership provides a clearer platform for the next phase of work at Motzfeldt, where the existing Aries resource and recent Merino results sit within one of Greenland’s recognised “very large deposit” critical raw material systems.
