The completed 2026 field programme has given Arkadian fresh material to study and new data from across Motzfeldt. The technical work now under way will help determine where further investigation is needed and how the next programme should be designed.

The Aries bulk samples will support studies of the minerals present and how the material responds to processing. One of Arkadian’s main objectives for future processing work is to establish the final saleable products to be produced from Motzfeldt primary concentrates.

Across Aries, Merino and Voskop, field spectral measurements will be placed onto models of the terrain built from completed photogrammetric surveys. This allows the team to examine spectral responses alongside their geological setting. Subject to technical interpretation, the work is intended to help map neodymium-related responses and refine targets for follow-up investigation. Satellite data will be integrated once the remaining acquisition and processing are complete.

Environmental baseline studies provide a record of existing conditions against which the potential effects of future development can be assessed. Alongside seabed surveys at two potential port locations, this information feeds into the continuing infrastructure review. The baseline work will also contribute evidence towards a future exploitation licence application.
