Motzfeldt Processing: From Rock to Technical Data

Flotation testwork represents an important technical milestone in the ongoing work programme at Arkadian’s Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in Greenland.

The image shows part of the laboratory process used to assess how Motzfeldt material behaves after crushing and grinding. In flotation, finely ground material is mixed with water and selected reagents before air is introduced. Certain mineral particles may attach to bubbles and rise to the surface as froth, which can then be collected for further testing.

This work adds another layer of technical understanding, helping to assess how separation and concentration can be approached in practice.

The flotation work provides practical data for the next stage of review, including chemical analysis, mineral behaviour and concentrate assessment.

At Motzfeldt, this forms part of Arkadian’s phased approach: building geological understanding, testing the material, reviewing the processing response and using that evidence to guide the next technical steps.
